The James McGourty family was called to Oelwein the first of the week by the death of their brother and uncle, Frank McGourty. Mr. and Mrs. McGourty and John returned Thursday afternoon, while Frances and Kittie remained until Friday morning.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born July 19, 1853 and died Feb. 12, 1918. He is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein, IA.
