OBITUARY
MURRAY
Alice Murray, oldest daughter of Mrs. Owen Murray, was born Nov. 21, 1902, and died Sept. 29, 1917, being 14 years, 10 months and 8 days old. Her health began to fail about 2½ years ago, and with the help of the best physicians and the constant care of a kind mother, all efforts to regain her health seemed in vain.
Although young in years she was old in intellect and in speaking of her own condition and in being resigned to the holy will of God she was more of a woman than a child, and just before her death she asked her mother not to grieve for her as she was only happy to die and felt well prepared.
She leaves to mourn her death her mother and two younger sisters and a large circle of near relatives and friends.
The funeral was held at the Assumption church Mouday{sic} morning at nine o’clock, Father Murtagh officiating with entertainment at St. Joseph’s cemetery. May her soul rest in peace.

We wish to offer our deepest thanks to our friends and neighbors who helped and sympathized with us in the sickness and death of our daughter and sister. May the good Lord give them reward which is beyond our power.
