Death by Drowning.
Lawrence Decker, eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Decker, residing northwest of Schley, met death by drowning near the bridge over the creek just west of the Klingle school house on Sunday afternoon. The boy, with several others, was wading in the creek when Lawrence, who was ahead, stepped off into a deep hole and drowned as he was unable to swim. L. E. Grabau came along soon after the accident and recovered the body after about two hours work. He also conducted the funeral on Tuesday afternoon. The bereaved family have the sincere sympathy of all in their deep sorrow.
