OBITUARY
Davis.
Sopronia Hutchinson was born in the state of New York December 24, 1822, and passed away at Cresco, Iowa, July 12, 1917, at the advanced age of 94 years, 6 months and 18 days.
She with her mother, Abigal Hutchinson, settled on some government land in Burr Oak twp., Winneshiek county, Iowa, in the year 1853 or 1854.
Several years ago she moved to Cresco where she has since resided. On March 28, 1898, she was married to Joseph Davis, but was left a widow April 25th, 1901.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and a regular attendant as often as her advanced years would permit.
Funeral services were held in Cresco Friday afternoon and the body was laid to rest beside her mother in the cemetery at Elliota, Minn.
