Death of Arthur Walters.
Arthur Rudolph Walters, son of William and Minnie Walters, was born on Sept. 11, 1879, and without a moment’s warning was stricken to unconsciousness on Monday evening at about five o’clock and passed away on Tuesday morning, April 10, 1917, without recovering consciousness.
Mr. Walters was reared on a farm north of town and on Aug. 30, 1905, was united in marriage to Matilda Michel. To this union was born three children, Leota, Hazel and Russell.
About four years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Walters moved to Cresco to live and have since made this city their home.
His sudden death was a great shock to his circle of friends and to his many relatives.
Besides the faithful wife, he leaves to mourn his loss the three children mentioned, nine brothers and three sisters, an aged father, and a large number of other relatives, with a large circle of friends.
The funeral was held from the Congregational Church in charge of the wife’s pastor, Rev. Will Kirwin, and interment was made at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
