Mrs. Sarah Daws, who has been ailing the past two months, passed away Monday at the home of her son Guy. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p. p m.,{sic} at the house, Rev. Kerwin officiating, with burial at Oak Lawn cemetery.

DAWS.
Mrs. Sarah Daws was born on the 22nd day of August, 1839, in Jefferson county, N. Y. She afterwards moved to Stevenson county Ill., where she was living when she was married to Thomas Daws, on the 2nd of February, 1863. They moved to Howard county, Iowa, in 1872, and settled at Davis Corners. Ten children were born to them, five of whom died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her death, two daughters, Mrs. A. H. Brown of Cresco and Mrs. Wm. Lathrop of Seattle, Wash., and three sons, Fred and Guy of Cresco, and Frank of Seattle, Wash., all of whom were with her except Frank who was unable to come. She died at her home in Cresco on February 19th, 1917, having been preceded in death by her husband who died February 29, 1908. Her funeral was held at her home Friday afternoon in charge of Rev. Will Kirwin, assisted by Rev. J. A. Pettit of the Baptist church, and interment was made in Oaklawn cemetery.
