Janice Humphrey, age 82, of Cresco, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

Janice Irene Humphrey was born August 5, 1941 to Virginia (Rippetoe) and Tobice Cook in Susanville, California. She attended school at Lasson High in Susanville. She was joined in marriage to David Edward Humphrey on November 17, 1962 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Mankato, MN. She worked at Martinizing Dry Cleaners, Ron’s Grill, Michel’s Restaurant, Valley News and ran a daycare. She loved dancing with her husband, David on Saturday nights, reading romance novels, painting pottery and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Mitchell (Vickie) Humphrey of Reno, NV, four daughters: Denise (Doug) Attenberger of Kasota, MN, Kathy (Joe) Goettl of Cresco, IA, Karen Peters of LeSeuer, MN and Jennifer (Allan) Humphrey of St. Peter, MN, two sisters in-law Kathy Cook of Susanville, CA and Norma Bublitz of Mankato, MN, 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David, parents, four sisters, a brother, four brothers in-law and one great-granddaughter.

Lindstrom Funeral Home is handling arrangements. A celebration of life will take place at a later date with burial at Woodland Hills in Mankato, MN.
