Arlan Clifford Quandahl passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023 after a short battle with brain cancer.

Arlan was born April 7, 1957 to Orland “Bud” and Sylvia (Hovey) Quandahl in Cresco, Iowa. He attended kindergarten through high school in Cresco where he graduated in 1975. After high school, he attended Kirkwood Community College where he received a degree in business. He spent much of his career working for Culligan International and had recently retired from Titan TV in Cedar Rapids. He quickly found a retirement job working at Timber and Tools in the Amana colonies helping people pick out the perfect board for their project, the most perfect job for Arlan.

He married Jane Scott Miller on August 9, 1986. Two children were born to this union. Throughout his life Arlan had several interests and hobbies. He volunteered for the Monona ambulance service as a driver, was on the board of directors for EWALU Summer Camp, and taught Sunday school at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona. He loved woodworking and doing projects. He collected antique tools and never passed on a good tool sale. Arlan was as handy as they come. In his shop you can find 100’s of peanut butter jars full of parts and pieces “just in case”. His girls knew they could count on him to fix anything. He was a devoted husband and father and the best papa in the whole world. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his grandkids.

Arlan is survived by his wife Jane; daughters Paige (Mike) Hoberg and Haley (Scott) Williams; grandchildren Briella and Knox Williams and Magnolia Hoberg; his brothers and sisters Ruth (Mike) Hendricks, Carolyn (Chuck) Quale, Paul (Sue) Quandahl, Dean (Linda) Quandahl and Joel (Lisa) Quandahl; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents Bud and Sylvia Quandahl and his God parents Casey and Arlene Zdun.
