Cade Robert Wenthold, 22, of Cresco, IA died at his home on June 5, 2023.

Cade graduated from Crestwood High School in 2019. He was employed at Bruening Rock Products driving a dump truck in the quarries. Cade was a very hard worker and very proud of the work he did. Cade was employed at Fareway throughout high school.

In his free time Cade loved spending time outdoors, riding dirt bikes, jet skis, golfing, hunting, fishing, tractor pulling, kayaking, and would often make meals for friends and family on his smoker or Blackstone. His friends, co-workers, and family enjoyed his quirky, offbeat humor; you never knew what he would come up with next. Cade loved to sit with family and friends and tell stories and jokes and listen to music. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Wrestling and Football fan. Cade won many a tractor pull.

Cade played fastpitch softball in his youth first for Lime Springs and then for Granger he was the teams biggest cheerleader and rallied them through many games. He played football and wrestled in 7-9th grade and then went on to run cross country, wrestle and golf through the rest of his high school career. Cade spent many weekends at Upper Iowa with his friends who wrestled there, and was known to do takedowns for a dollar.

Cade is survived by parents: Gene (Jamie Isaacson) Wenthold (Cresco, IA) and Chalsea (Adam) Lueschow (Lime Springs, IA) and beloved brother Garret Wenthold; along with Darrian (Clint) Zezueka (children-Aubrey & Braelynn), Kristian (Liz Tieskoetter) Szajna, Addie Isaacson, and Ben Isaacson, grandparents: Ruth & Neil Wenthold and Bob & Jane Carroll and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family requests that you make a donation to something Cade loved instead of sending flowers.

A celebration of life will be held in the barn at the Bob and Jane Carroll home (14359 345th Ave Cresco, IA) on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 3:00-7:00 pm.
