Dorothy Koudelka went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 26, 2022.

Dorothy Koudelka was born July 30, 1950, the daughter of John and Bessie (Frana) Koudelka. She attended country school, Holy Trinity School, and graduated from New Hampton Community High School. After graduation she was employed as a secretary at Life Investors Insurance Company in Cedar Rapids, IA. She went on to be a bookkeeper/food service employee at Saga Foods for Wright State University at Dayton, OH. She returned locally to work for Purina Checkerboard in New Hampton as a secretary. Later, she enjoyed being a nanny for her niece and nephews for a time until she went to work as a secretary/receptionist for One Stop Insurance Agency. Dorothy retired in 2020. She became ill in the fall of 2021.

Dorothy’s nieces and nephews will miss her as she was the special aunt they always looked forward to spending time together. When reminiscing about her they mention she was a generous, thoughtful auntie who hosted sleepovers, shopping trips, and always had goodies up her sleeve. Another states, she was a “spitfire”. They enjoyed their conversations with “Dotsy” as she was a super listener!

Dorothy enjoyed several trips with friends visiting several states and even Hawaii! She also enjoyed fellowship with her friends from the Get Along Gang from Cresco. The bonfires and meals were a special time together!

Dorothy is survived by her two brothers Martin Koudelka and David (Kathleen) Koudelka and a sister Jane (Bernie) Huegel.

Preceding Dorothy in death were her parents, John and Bessie Koudelka, and a sister-in-law Emma Jean Koudelka.
