Roylene Marie Kintz, 75, of Cresco, Iowa, peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by family after a long battle with COPD/Emphysema. No services are planned at this time.

Roylene was born March 30, 1946, in Cresco to Roy and Dorothy (Knudsen) Maronde. She graduated from Crestwood High School in 1964.

Roylene married Richard Schmauss in 1965. To this union two children were born, Darin & Richelle. They later divorced.

Roylene married Damon Kintz in 1987.

Roylene worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for many years. In 1994 her and Darin started Master Plastics. She semi-retired when Richelle came to work at Master Plastics in 1997.

Roylene loved spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them! She and Damon enjoyed traveling to all but 2 states in their motorcoach with their two dogs. Quilting and other crafts were her passion for years. Roylene and Damon enjoyed going to Lake City, MN during the summer and seeing all their friends at the Lake City VFW and going pontooning with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Damon, son Darin (Anna) Schmauss and daughter Richelle (Jess) Byrnes. Step-daughters Michele (Tom) Tuchek, and Beth (Jeff) Slifka all of Cresco. Grandchildren, Sabrina Schmidt, Ashlyn (Gatlin Keehner) Schmauss, Cole Schmauss, and Jackson Byrnes. Step-grandchildren, Samantha (Chris) Williams, Kirstin (Nate) Widell, Sonni (Tyler) Ricklefs, Claire Tuchek, Grant Tuchek. Step great grandchildren, Maverick & Hailey Williams, Kora & Eddie Widell, Hudson Ricklefs. Brothers Gene (Judy Loucks) of Flagstaff, AZ and Jim (Mychelle) of Rochester, MN. Several nieces and nephews, and a brother-in-law Mike Vail of Hammond, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister LouKay Vail, her grandparents Bertha (Klockow) Knudsen and Knud Louis Knudsen, and Nellie (Bauer) and Louis Maronde, and two great granddaughters Faith & Hope Widell.
