Christ Groat, after a long illness, passed away Monday morning. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon. Interment was made in Maple Leaf cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: Maple Leaf Cemetery records show this was Christian Groth who was born Jan. 19, 1847 and died July 31, 1916.
