Sudden Death of Andrew Stinger.
Almost without warning, Andrew Stinger passed away Wednesday afternoon at his home on the Vernon road. Although he has been troubled for some time with hardening of the arteries, he has been working constantly at his trade, and on the day of his death was doing some carpenter work in the restaurant conducted by his son Orlando. He quit work about four o'clock and went home, sat down and listened to the reading, by his wife, of a letter just received from his son Arthur, when he was taken ill and remarked. “I feel all in.” and passed away immediately.
The funeral will be held Saturday at the German Lutheran Church at 1:30.

STINGER.
Andrew Stinger was born in the state of Ohio, October 21, 1849, oldest child of Jacob and Kathrine Stinger. Soon after the family removed to Decatur County, Indiana, where deceased grew to manhood. In the spring of the year 1875 he arrived at Cresco which place has been his home ever since. December 16, 1875, he was united in wedlock with Annie Miller, his surviving widow. Three children were born to them: Aurilla, now Mrs. Guy Humphrey, and Orlando, of Cresco, and Arthur, of Waterloo. Until a few years ago, he worked at his trade as carpenter and builder and as such was well known. Last Wednesday, apparently in good health, he was seen cleaning the snow away in front of his son’s place of business; got his mail and walked home, having received a letter from his son, Arthur. While Mrs. Stinger was reading it to him he passed away about 4 o’clock in the afternoon.
Funeral services were held at Immanuel’s Lutheran Church, attended by a great concourse of people. Interment was in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
