After an illness of several weeks, Fred Ahrns passed away on Friday at about 3 o’clock p. m. He had been a great sufferer for several years. The funeral was held at 1 o’clock, Monday, Nov. 29th, at the German Lutheran Church, interment in the Lutheran cemetery. His sister, Mrs. Gust Ilse, from Milwaukee, Wis., was here at the funeral.

Fred Ahrns was born in Mackinburg, Germany, on the 14th day of Jan. 1866, and came to America with his parents at the age of 7 years and he was confirmed in the German Lutheran Church at Big Springs, Minn. He was married to Louise Prey of Big Springs on September, 12, 1901, and died on November 26, 1915, and laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery on November 30, Rev. Dangs being pastor. He leaves to mourn his wife, mother and three sisters.
