Mary Louise Huntting was born in Cresco, Iowa, on November 9, 1871. She was born in the same house in which she passed away on Saturday, April 24, 1915.
She leaves to mourn, her mother and two brothers, William of Cresco, and Frank of Fairmont, Minnesota.
She was a member of the Congregational church for many years and very active in all lines of Christian effort, especially in the Sabbath School, where for many years she was in charge of the primary department and only gave up the work when her strength would not allow her any longer to continue it
For some years past she has been a great sufferer and yet with it all it was a pleasure to meet her and catch from her some of her cheerful spirit. She was uncomplaining and bore all with a fortitude that was beautiful to behold. To the very last she carried her cheer and help to all about her.
On the Thursday preceding her falling asleep, she walked up to the stores to attend upon business and on Friday she worked in her garden.
The funeral was held from the home of her mother on Monday, April 26th, at 2 p. m., Dr. D. T. Robertson, the pastor, officiating. The remains were interred in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
