SCHAEFER.
Lydia Augusta, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Mandelko, was born December 24, 1888, in Howard County, Iowa, at which place she grew to womanhood.
On April 5, 1903, she was confirmed by Rev. C. Neidermeier, then pastor of the German Lutheran Church, of Cresco, Iowa. July, 1909, she was married to Jacob B. Schaefer and made her home in Cresco, Iowa, where she remained until her death. On February 4, 1913, a daughter was born to them. At this time pneumonia set in and on February 10, 1913, at 6:50 a. m., she sweetly and peacefully fell asleep in death.
She was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed by her many friends.
She leaves to mourn her untimely death, husband, infant daughter, father, mother, three sisters, one brother and many other relatives and friends. An infant daughter preceded her in death.
The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon at the German Lutheran church, Rev. J. Pless officiating. Interment was in New Oregon Cemetery.
