Walter Gates, of Lime Springs, attended the LeRoy street fair on the 15th, got drunk, was locked in jail and the next morning found dead, either from alcoholic poisoning or exposure.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery and was born June 3, 1874.
