Mrs. Dora Genshow passed away yesterday morning at about 8:30 o’clock at her home in Cresco. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at. 2 o’clock at the German Lutheran church. Her age lacked but a couple of months of 94 years, and she has been a resident of Cresco since 1868.

GENSHOW.
Dora Kruse was born in Mecklenburg, Germany, the 15th day of November 1817 where she grew to womanhood.
In 1844 she was united in wedlock with Charles Genshow, from this union sprang two sons, August and Herman, both surviving her. In 1857 the family decided {to} emigate to this country, arriving first at Dubuque and in 1859 at Calmar. The following years they lived on different farms in Winneshiek county until they finally located in Cresco 1868 where deceased has lived ever since.
In 1883 her husband died and since that time she has lived with her sons. She has been quite an invalid for the last three years. An apoplectic stroke last Monday made it apparent that she could not linger very long, and Thursday last, Nov. 2nd, she passed beyond at half past eight, attaining to an age lacking two weeks of 94 years. Interment at Oak Lawn, J. Pless, officiating.
