OBITUARY.
E. E Dawley passed away quite unexpectedly last Friday evening at Mercy Hospital, following an operation on Wednesday. The immediate cause of his demise was acute dilation of the heart.
Edgar E. Dawley, was born in Bluffton, Iowa, May 15, 1871, and died in Cresco, July 28, 1911, aged 40 years, 2 months and 13 days. August 1, 1899, he was united in marriage with Miss Anna Frost, she having preceded him in death six years before. Two children were born to this union, Donald E. and Clara A., now of this city. Besides these children, he leaves a father and mother, two brothers, Charles, living at Burr Oak, and Aberius of this city, a sister, Ella Elzea, living in Blackwell, Oklahoma, and a nephew, Claude Elzea, of this city, besides many other relatives and friends, to mourn his loss.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at the home of his parents, Revs. Gammons and Hinman officiating. The remains were taken to Pleasant Hill cemetery at Lime Springs for interment beside the remains of his wife.
