OBITUARY.
Philander Sol Burgess was born March 2nd, 1849, in Fairfield, Me. At the age of 13 he moved with his parents to Lansing, Ia., and four years later moved to Busti, Ia., where he made his home until 1903, when he came to Cresco where he has since resided. He died on June 12th, 1911, and was buried in the family lot at Elma, Iowa.
