Kristin “Kris” Moen, age 63, of Cresco passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Kristin Inez Moen was born on January 10, 1957 to Orville and Imogene (Anderson) Qualle in Atlantic, Iowa. Her family moved to Cresco when she was in elementary school. She continued her education in Cresco, graduating early with the Class of 1976.

On October 8, 1982 Kris married the love of her life, John Moen at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco. To this union, two sons were born, Michael and Eric.

Her working career included clerking at Red Owl Grocery, waitressing at the Stop Light Café and forty years at Rockwell Collins as a quality controller.

Kris had a wide range of hobbies which included; quilting and sewing, painting, listening to music, fishing the Upper Iowa river for small mouth bass, spending countless hours in her flower gardens and don’t forget her love for pets, especially cats and dogs.

Those left to carry on her memory include her husband, John of Cresco, her two sons; Michael (Chealsey) Moen of Colwell, Iowa and Eric Moen of Cresco and a sister, Paula (Ron) Lapic of Rochester, Minnesota.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Imogene Qualle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to HOCA (Howard County Cancer Association) in her memory.

A private family service will be held at Lindstrom Funeral Home in the days to come. Graveside services and a Celebration of Life will be held later this summer.
