WHITE.
Amelia Warren was born Oct. 4, 1833, in Bedford, Ohio. She was married to Harlow White April 14, 1852. They came to Iowa in 1855 and settled in Howard county. Ten children blessed this union, eight sons and two daughters. Eugene, Emmet, Alice, Anson, George and Warren, together with her husband have preceeded her her{sic} to the better land. Those living are Elmer, and Harlow of Jennings, La., and Mrs. Minnie Rucker and Frank White of Cresco. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Herreman of Bedford, Ohio, and Mrs. Marshal of Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
She was a faithful member of the Baptist church of Cresco, a kind friend and neighbor and a patient and loving mother who will be missed by all who knew her, she lived with her son Frank and wife where all that loving hands could do was done but she passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, Feb. 22, 1911, after an illness of nearly two weeks at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 18 days.
The funeral was held Friday morning at the Baptist church, with interment at New Oregon, Rev. Bell officiating.
