OBITUARY.
MEYERS
Mrs. W. Meyers died at her home 16 miles southwest of Cresco, Monday, October 14th, 1912. She was born in Germany in 1837, and came to this country at an early age. She was united in marriage to Wm. Meyers in 1858, who died about 14 years ago. They resided for a time in Clayton county then moved to the farm on which she died. Ten children were born to bless their union, all of whom were present at the funeral, all residing in the vicinity with the exception of Mrs. Phelps, whose home is in Minneapolis, Geo. Meyers who lives in Waubun, and Mrs. Reeds who lives in Wadena, are left to mourn the loss of a dear and beloved mother. Mrs. Meyers joined the Methodist church in her early days of which she remained a true member up to the time of her death.
She was always willing and ready to do for others and was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her, and we wish to express our sincere thanks to the many friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us during the illness and death of our dear and beloved mother, and also for the many beautiful floral offerings.
The bereaved Sons and Daughters.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Gustine who is buried in New Oregon Cemetery. Her last name is spelled Meyer.
