OBITUARY.
Georgia Harris was born March 6, 1887, and died Tuesday, September 17, 1912. Georgia was a Cresco girl; she received her education in the High School and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Sunday School, and in her early life was a member of the Junior League of the church. She was preceded to the Other World by her sister Iva who passed away at the age of 14 years, also Lyle, her brother, 10 years of age; her father, H. W. Harris, died when she was 12 years old. She leaves to mourn her loss her step-father, S. W. Harris, her mother, Mrs. Minnie Harris, and two brothers, Merle and Roy Harris. She belonged to the following fraternal orders, the W. R. C., Woodmen Circle, and the Royal Neighbors.
Georgia had been a patient sufferer for more than six months previous to her decease. She bore with Christian fortitude the disappointment of not being able to live for others. She ex¬pressed her perfect confidence and trust in her Saviour, and found in the Religion of Him a perfect refuge. To her loved ones she said “Goodbye” as if it were but the departure of a journey; bidding them to meet her in the Kingdom of Heaven. She was beloved by all who knew her. During all of her sickness, she never murmured or complained.
Verily, “She is at Rest.”
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at the M. E. church, Rev. Soper officiating, and the various fraternal orders participating in the services. Interment in the family lot in Oak Lawn.
