E. M. Stockman passed away Friday afternoon after a short illness, as the result of an attack of heart disease. He was taken to the hospital for treatment early in the afternoon and lived but a few hours. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon in the Episcopal church, Rev. McVettie, of Decorah, reading the service, the sermon being given by Rev. Emhoff, of Owatonna, Minn., a personal friend of the deceased. Interment was in Oak Lawn. Obituary in our next issue.

STOCKMAN.
Elwin Michael Stockman was born on the Isle of Motte, Grand Isle Co., Vermont, June 11, 1852, and died May 10th, 1912. He was the oldest son of James and Bridget Ryan Stockman, old settlers of this county. He was united in marriage to Miss Cora Brooks, May 31, 1880, at Auburn, Ill. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Garrett, two sisters Mrs. E. H. Bents of Sioux Falls, S. D., and Mrs. Jennie James of Cresco.
