BLASER.
Abraham Jacob Blaser was born at Hochstetten, Switzerland, August 23, 1852. In 1889 he came to America, making his home mostly in the vicinity of Cresco. In July he left for Redwood County, Minnesota, working for a farmer by the name of Bluhm. While they were stacking grain on August 4th, he complained of feeling sick and laid down in the shade for about three hours. It being dinner time Bluhm helped him to get on the wagon where he died before they reached the house. An inquest was held and the post mortem examination of the body showed his sudden death was due to heart disease. The corpse arrived at Cresco, Friday evening, and was laid to rest in New Oregon Cemetery, Sunday afternoon. His brother John, and another brother and three sisters in Switzerland survive him.

Transcriber’s Note: There is an Uncle Jake Blaser gravestone near John Blaser’s grave which could be the above.
