DIED--In this township, Oct. 10, 1864, of consumption, J. Riley Mitchell, aged about 17 years.

The deceased was among the early settlers of this county. As a neighbor and a citizen he had the confidence and esteem of all who knew him. He was a conscientious christian, upright in all his dealings, manifesting his love to God by his intercourse with man. A large circle of mourning friends and relatives are entitled to the sympathy of all those who respect the good even though, departed.
