KIMBALL.
Maroa Kimball was born in Rock county, Wis., Oct. 7, 1850. She came to Howard county with her parents in 1870. Her death occurred at Cherokee, Iowa, March 19, 1909.
Miss Kimball had been a sufferer with cancer for some time. About a week before her death she went to Cherokee for treatment, hoping to obtain relief. An operation was performed, the cancer being removed but she could not endure the shock, surviving but a few hours thereafter.
The remains were brought to Cresco for burial. Funeral services were held in the M. E. Church Sunday at 1:30 p. m., conducted by Rev. Gammons, assisted by Rev. Hill. Interment was in New Oregon cemetery.
