James Roche was born in Ireland in 1844 and died in Elma, Jan. 21st. He came to America in 1846. He was then but two years old. He came to Howard County and resided in this county the greater part of the time, with the exception of one year, 1880, when he went to Minnesota to live. Mr. Roche was married to Miss Anna Brady in 1873. Three children were born to them: Mamie (Mrs. Gene Speed), Dan and James.—Elma New Era.
