On Thanksgiving morning occurred the death of George Stockham which has been expected for some time. He has been a great sufferer for two years. He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife, Mr. Lee Stockham, of Maquoketa, Alice Blair, of Mason City, one brother Horace Stockham, of Chester, beside a number of grandchildren. The sermon was preached from the house and the remains were interred in Chester Hill Cemetery. The sorrowing ones have the sympathy of the community in their affliction.
