Clarence Walter, infant son of Christ and Anna Smith, was born at New Oregon, Howard county, Iowa, on February 24, 1908, and on the 24th day of May 1908, at the age of three months.
His stay with parents, brother and sisters was brief, yet won the hearts and love of all. They mourn because the little flower was plucked out of the family garden so soon. They are comforted however to know that this flower has been transplanted into the garden of Heaven above.
The funeral occurred May 25th at 2 o’clock p. m., at the home, which was well attended. Interment was in New Oregon cemetery.
The parents, one brother and three sisters mourn their loss.
