At Elk River, Minn., Mar 30, 1908, and interred at Oaklawn cemetery at Cresco, Iowa, April 2, 1908. Services were held at the residence of J. S. Marsh and were conducted by Rev. W. R. Hill assisted by Rev. Gammons. Leonard Gilcrest, son of Robert and Lizzie Gilcrest.
Twelve years ago he opened his bright brown eyes to this world yet only to be a little sufferer and constant care for the fond mother and father during the long years of pain. He kept the same sweet baby face always beautiful to look upon. As the sweet face kept its beauty so the death angel came in quietly and took him peacefully as if going to sleep. None can miss him like the kind sisters and brothers and loving father and mother., his affliction being such that demanded constant care, and as he goes to the one who blesses little children and said, “Of Such is the Kingdom of Heaven” we can but say with Ira D. Sankey.Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone shows he was born in 1895.
