OBITUARY
CLYNCH.
Mrs. Anna Mullin Clynch was born in Fairymount, Roscommon county, Ireland, on the 17th day of March, 1838. Miss Mullen came to America In the year 1849, staying in Providence, Rhode Island until 1857, when she came west, locating at Howard Center where she was engaged in teaching school for four years. In 1861 she was married to Mr. James Clynch. They settled in Paris town-ship residing on their farm until the year 1899, when they retired from farming and moved to Elma. Here Mr. Clynch died six weeks later. Since that time Mrs. Clynch resided with her two daughters, Mae and Elizabeth, at Elma. She was a patient sufferer for 14 months, but she clung to her faith trusting to God’s will for relief. She was a true Christian, loving mother and kind neighbor. She was cheerful to the last, meeting her friends with a welcome smile. She died at 1:45 p. m., March 6, 1907. Her children present at the funeral were Patrick, of Grinnell, Ia.; George and Thomas of Lourdes; Mae and Elizabeth of Elma. Her daughter Mrs. W. C. Prouty of Hibbing, Minn., was not present at the funeral, also her son William, of Fallon, Montana, could not arrive in time for the funeral. Mrs. Clyhch{sic} was laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery at Elma, Iowa, Saturday, March 9th. May her soul rest in peace.
