M. A. Madsen passed away, Wednesday evening, after quite a prolonged illness.

Mads. A. Madsen was born in Valders, Norway, July 17, 1838. In 1867 he came to America. Was married July 20, 1877 to Jane Peterson. They had two children one of whom died in infancy, the other, Ida May, who is the wife of Gilbert H. Melaas, has always been at home with her parents to care for them in their old age. Mrs. Madsen survives.
Mr. Madsen had been in poor health for some time, but was not seriously sick until a little over a week before his death on Feb. 6, 1907.
Funeral services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. Ottersen, both at the house and at the church. Interment in Oaklawn by the side of the mother who died about ten years ago.
