Mrs. J. A. Hall, whose death has been expected at any moment for several weeks, died on Sunday. Deceased was a sister of Mr. J. J. Fessenden, and was a good and worthy wife and mother.

OBITUARY.
Nancy Jane Fessenden was born in Ohio in 1849, and departed this life in Cresco, Sunday, July 28th, after a long period of intense suffering from cancer. In early life she moved with her parents to Wisconsin, and at Honiton, that state, in 1860, she was united in marriage to J. Ashton Hall, and six years later they moved to Howard county. Besides the husband, she leaves two sons, Frank and Harry, four little grand-children, a brother, J. J. Fessenden, of this place, and two sisters, one of whom resides in Washington and the other in Wisconsin.
Mrs. Hall united with the Vernon Baptist church at an early day, and has ever since remained a consistant member and a faithful, willing helper in every good work.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home, conducted by Rev. Silke, and the interment was in the New Oregon Cemetery.
