Last Friday the sad news reached Chester that C. L. Avery, of Austin, was dead. Mr. Avery lived near Chester nearly all his life. He moved to Austin 3 years ago on account of school privileges for the children. A large number of friends and relatives from Chester attended the funeral at Austin Sunday.
