Thos Severson, an aged veteran, who also went by the name of Thos. Anderson, under which appellation he is a pensioner, died Sunday morning at his home in the third ward. The funeral occurs to-day at the Norwegian Lutheran church.

OBITUARY.
Thomas Anderson was born Feb. 2, 1840, at Inner Sogu, Norway. He emigrated to America at the age of 21 years. Soon after arriving in this country he enlisted as a volunteer soldier in the Tenth Wisconsin Infantry, serving with his regiment until the close of the war. He was a brave and gallant soldier, and was in all the battles in which his regiment was engaged. Mr. Anderson was twice married. His first wife, whose maiden name was Anna Johnson died in 1882. Seven children were born to this union, two of whom are living. In 1890 he was united in marriage to Bertha Anderson, who remains to mourn his death. He died March 19, 1904, after a lingering illness. Thus another man who went forth at the call of his country has answered the last roll call, and is now a member of that Grand Army that has passed to the other shore.
Funeral services were held at the United Norwegian church Tuesday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Chris Thompson, the sermon being given in both the English and Norwegian languages. Members of the G. A. R. Post, of which deceased was a member, attended the services in a body. Burial was at Oaklawn.
