Kaleshek, Martin Sr. Died—Saturday, March 12, 1904 at 9:30 a. m., Martin Kaleshek, Sr., who has been living in Protivin some time, of heart failure. He was in to attend the funeral had walked in and about 9 o’clock made a complaint that he did not feel well and droped{sic} the next moment and died in less than half an hour. The deceased was 80 years old, never sick in his life, a hard worker and died with apparently no pain or a struggle, not gaining consiousness{sic} after fainting. Was buried Monday March 14, with a large attendance of friends and relatives.
Mrs. Anna Chipera, from Fargo, N. Dakota, arrived in time to attend the funeral of her father, Martin Kaleshek.

Transcriber’s Note: Holy Trinity Cemetery records shows the spelling as Kalishek and that he was born November 2, 1824
