Mrs. Ann Jones died at her home in Cresco, May 27, 1903, in the 74 year of her age. Two years ago last January she buried her husband. Six children, four sons and two daughter survive to mourn the death of a good christian mother. Mrs. Jones was a native of Wales. The funeral will be at the home at 11 o’clock to-day (Friday), the interment at Foreston.

OBITUARY.
Ann Hughes was born in Carnarvonshire, North Wales, June 29, 1829. She was the only daughter of Humphrey and Alice Hughes, having one brother who died in infancy. She came to this country with her parents when about 16 years of age, the family settling near Kingston, Green Lake Co., Wisconsin.
In July, 1848, she was united in marriage with Richard Jones, whose death occurred a little over two years ago. They came to Howard Co. in 1871. Seven children were born to them, five sons and two daughters, all of whom are living except one son, who died when a young boy. She united with the church when about 12 years of age and lived a faithful and consistent Christian for over 60 years. She was very patient during her long sickness and many times expressed a desire to be taken away and be at rest. The interment was at the Foreston cemetery, Friday, May 29th services conducted by Rev. Gammons, of Cresco, and Rev. O. B. Morris, of Lime Spring.
