Viola Glass died in a convent at Chicago last Thursday, after an illness of a few days from pneumonia. Her father and sister, Mary, were present at her death, having gone down there in response to a telegram the first of the week. A year ago last September she went to Dubuque and entered the Convent of the Sisters of Charity as a novice. We understand that last Sunday she took the final vows, wishing to become a sister before she died. The remains will not be brought here for burial. She was a daughter of Chris Glass and was for a time a student at the School of the Assumption. Her friends are legion and everywhere are heard words of sympathy for the sorrowing parents and family.
