Mrs. George Patrick, aged 79 years, died on Wednesday at their home in this city. Mr. and Mrs. Patrick were among the early settlers in Deerfield township, adjoining Afton, in the southwest part of this county. They came to Cresco to reside something more than a year ago. Mrs. Merit DeNoyelles we believe is a daughter of deceased.

Obituary.
Mrs. Geo. Patrick died at her home in Cresco, Iowa, June 18th, 1902, aged 79 years, 1 month and 14 days.
Louisa Shaw was born in Broome County, New York, May 4th, 1823, and was united in marriage with George Patrick November 8th, 1840, at Youngstown, New York. Twelve children blessed this union, eight of whom survive her, viz.: Sarah Harris, of San Francisco, California, George Patrick, of Whitney, Oregon, Almeron Patrick, of Rapid City, South Dakota, Mary Culver, of Seattle, Washington, Persis Denoyelles, of Cresco, Iowa, Louisa Carroll and Lillian Secrest, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Bell Stone, of Covello, Washington; three brothers also survive her, viz.: Henry Shaw, of Roscoe, Illinois, and Comer and Abraham Shaw, both of Lockport, New York, they being the sole survivers{sic} of a family of fifteen children.
Deceased came with her husband to Iowa in June 1856 and resided in Chickasaw county until 1899, when they moved to their present home in Cresco.
Funeral services will be held at the residence Wednesday, June 25th, at 2:00 o’clock p. m. Interment at New Oregon Cemetery.
