Carrol Vernon, youngest daughter of Wm. and Ona Vernon, was born in Howard County, Texas, February 7, 1897. At the age of one year and six months, she moved to Des Moines, Iowa, with her parents and from there to Osceola Iowa, at the age of two years. A year ago last October with her parents she came to Cresco. After a brief illness she died on the evening of May 30th, aged five years, three months and twenty-three days. Funeral services were conducted from the house by Rcv. Gammon, Sunday at 2:00 P. M.
