In Cresco, April 17, 1902, Miss Winnifred Mulholland, aged 26 years and six months.
Deceased was born in Paris township, in Howard county, and had spent most of her brief life among our people. Some four years ago pulmonary difficulties had developed, since which time she has made a gallant but unsuccessful battle for life. About three weeks ago she returned from Phoenix, Arizona, where she had spent the winter in hopes of realizing some benefit from its altitude and pure atmosphere. She was a noble, generous hearted young woman, and will be sincerely mourned by a host of friends. Her father and an only brother alone remain of her immedidiate{sic} family.
The funeral will be from the Congregational church at 2:30 Saturday, the interment in Oak Lawn.

Transcriber’s Note: The cemetery records indicate only one “N” in her first name and that she was born December 14, 1878; however that doesn’t agree with the above.
