Obituary-
Gustav Arthur Anderson was born Nov. 18th, 1881. He was baptized when an infant by Rev. Langland,
At five years of age Arthur entered the public school, where he attended regularly until seventeen years of age. Then he was taken out on account of sickness, and a short time after, accompanied his father to Minneapolis, where under the medical treatment of Dr. Hoegh, he temporarily recovered.
He was confirmed when fifteen years old by Rev. Dommersnaes. In Sunday school, he was an earnest scholar, oftentimes conducting a class himself. Arthur was quiet, tender hearted, kind and self-sacrificing. Never did he cause his mother any trouble or sorrow.
For the last six months he worked diligently in his father’s store, and was ever felt a useful and pleasant companion. He seldom complained except when forced by necessity. But on the 19th of February a severe cold fastened its grip upon him, and no longer able to endure that awful headache, Arthur asked to go home from the store. Brain fever set in, and at 10:30 o’clock on Monday night, March 12th, after one week of ceasless{sic} suffering, Arthur passed away.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Jensen Roseland, Austin, Minn., and Rev. Domersnaes.
The family of Anthony Anderson desire to thank the people for kindly aid and sympathy during the sickness of their son and brother, Arthur, and to the choir for its assistance at his funeral.
