Marie Boggess Zimmerman
CHARLES CITY - Marie Boggess Zimmerman, 86, Charles City, formerly of Bassett, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002 at the 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home,Charles City of natural causes.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Chenoweth and Son Funeral Home, Nashua.
Burial will be in Mt. Carroll Cemetery, rural Ionia.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 a t Chenoweth and Son Funeral Home, Nashua and also one hour prior to services Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
Marie was born in Howard County on Oct. 3, 1916, the daughter of Harry and Myrtle (Weber) Clark. She attended high school in Colwell. She was united in marriage to Raymond Boggess in Waterloo on June 20, 1934. She later married Farreld Zimmerman on Oct. 17, 1986 in Prairie du Chien, WI. She worked as a housekeeper.
Survivors include four children, Phyllis (Dennis) Stock, Ionia, Ruby (Kenneth) Goodale, Osage, Donald (Lanora) Boggess, Cedar Falls and Donna (Dean) Lynch, Floyd; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Raymond Boggess, in 1985 and Farreld Zimmerman; a son, Jerry, in infancy; two daughters, Lorraine Boggess and Wilma Fisher; four brothers, Harold, Kenneth, Delbert and James Clark; one sister, Lola Venz and a grandson, Bob Goodale.
