The PLAIN DEALER people were surprised and pained to learn of the death of Mrs. C. J. Hosford, of Florenceville, after undergoing an operation for cancer, ending with the usual result— death. Cancer results from a condition of the system that should be corrected by cleansing the blood, and unless that is done the disease remains in the system and though the visible cancer may have been removed the ravages of the disease have not been arrested. There is probably no cancer anywhere upon the surface but can be permanently cured without the surgeon’s knife. We believe the method of Dr. Keith is the only safe and sure way to treat and radically cure the disease.

Chloe Jane Hills was born June 2, 1845, in St. Joseph Co., Michigan, and died in the hospital at Davenport where she had gone for treatment Jan. 30, 1899. She came with her parents to Fillmore Co., Minn., in 1855 and was united in marriage to J. C. Hosford May 30, 1863, who preceded her to that better land twelve years ago. Four children were born to this union, three daughters having joined their father on the other side. C. R. Hosford the only remaining child is all left in a direct line to mourn her. An aged father, three brothers and an only sister survive her. She was a member of the M. E. church and her house for years has been the only meeting place of the Ladies Aid in their good work. She was a devoted mother and the loving care she gave her motherless little granddaughter, Hazel Annie Crowell, of itself bespeaks her goodness of heart. That she was a good neighbor in sickness we add our own personal testimony.
