NEW HAMPTON - Leland Panoch, 73, New Hampton, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001 at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Hampton of natural causes.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, New Hampton with Reverend Carl Schmitt officiating. Sr. Lorraine Loecher will be the organist and accompany the St. Joseph Resurection Choir singing "On Eagle's Wings", "Prayer of St. Francis", "Gather Us Together" and "How Great Thou Art". Mike Carlin will be the cantor. Lector will be Mike Panoch. Leland's nieces and nephews will present the offertory gifts.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Hampton, with James Panoch, Michael Panoch, Joseph Scholbrock, William Panoch, Gary Panoch, Dana Blong, Travis Mai and Jason Mai serving as casketbearers.
Visitation was from 4 to 8 . p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29 at , Conway Funeral Home, New Hampton with a 4:30 p.m. Rosary and 7 p.m. Scripture Service, and also be an hour prior to services at the church Leland Francis Panoch was born Aug. 10, 1928 in Howard County, the eldest son of W. Joseph and Rose (Bilek) Panoch. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He attended country school near his home. Leland worked for the Rath Meat Packing Plant, Waterloo, Oliver-White Farm Equipment, Charles City and also building construction. He resided in the New Hampton area for most of his life. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, New Hampton. He enjoyed his family,grandchildren and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Lee (Michelle) and Larry, both of Cresco; two grandchildren; four brothers, Joe (Jane), Castalia, Ray (Carol), New Hampton, Don, Fredericksburg and Ron (Nancy), Punta Gorda, FL; two sisters, Lorraine (Marvin) Scholbrock, New Hampton and Gigi Wollenberg, Rochester, MN and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Rose Marie Blong.

Services held for Leland Panoch, 73
Funeral services for Leland Panoch of New Hampton were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Hampton with Rev. Carl Schmitt officiating. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in New Hampton. Pallbearers were: James Panoch, Michael Panoch, Joseph Scholbrock, William Panoch, Gary Panoch, Dana Blong, Travis Mai, and Jason Mai. Conway Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
