Died.
LONG—In Little Falls, Minn., Oct. 26 1898, Lawrence Long, beloved husband of Catherine Long, and father of Lawrence Long, of Bradley, S. D. Mrs. Anna Dinnen of Chicago, Frank Long of Little Falls, Minn., Mary, John and James Long of Howard Center, Mrs. Katie Flock, and Miss Ella Long of Chicago The deceased was born in Tiperrary county, Ireland, 83 years ago and came to this country when a young man.
In the fall of 1856 he came to Howard county, where he resided until 13 years ago; since that time he lived with his son Frank in Little Falls, Minn., until his death.
He was an honest man and a good neighbor, always lending a helping hand to the poor or needy. His remains was brought to his former home in Howard Center, Oct. 28th, and was buried from the Catholic church, Sunday, Oct. 30. He leaves a wife and eight children who were present at his interment.
During the summer months his health began to fail and all that willing hands and kind hearts could do, owing to old age, was of no avail.
May his soul rest in peace.
