Last Sunday afternoon, while returning from a picnic in Sovereign’s grove, Merritt DeNoyelles received a sudden jolt which threw him from the wagon, striking his head upon the ground and producing paralysis, from the effects of which he died on Tuesday, Aug. 23. The funeral occured{sic} from the residence of the deceased on Thursday afternoon.
