Mrs. Mary O. Brooks, wife of Nathan Brooks, formerly of Cresco, died at Jackson, Tennessee, October 1, 1897, where they had resided for the past two years. She leaves a husband and five children to mourn her departure. Mr. Brooks used to carry on the blacksmith business in the shop where Enright & Wentworth now are.
